Greetings.

Happy new year, at least one of  them. I prefer the dragons and fireworks myself to  the irony of the "timeless"  Dick Clark looking like didn't go down to Georgia, but over to Switzerland instead and lost a watch building contest with "Old Harry", but i Digress. Let's start out 2008 with a positive message. 

I am positive that elections are a great excuse to get more people blog, vlog , ne demagogue  this upcoming  election with a torrent of user generated content seeded by MSM sources ( Oh dear I've gone negative early... )

Posts I'm pursuing.

I've almost decided to split my blogs  work(ish) home (ish) into two separate sections.  The daily ephemera and the researched post every 2-3 weeks that hopefully contains material useful to others. ( The product blogs I write can at least be accused of such)    One of the first entries I'm going for is the difference between those from cultures other than the USA creating software.  Can someone coming from a culture that's not dedicated to convenience  get their head around the expectations of a culture that has turned  coffee ordering into a feat that  blogs describing "hacks"  have appeared.    I'm opposed to asking for a venti anything , just like I don't Mc my burgers or ask for any service by it's fully approved , focus group tested  and PC inspected sigil, otherwise known as a brand.  

I'm not from around these parts    being  an ex  "Internal Exile"  from Scotland and  after a decade within the USA  I think  it's time to  go all Tocqueville on your derriere.
