Opera. Wasn't the fat lady meant to sing, not whine?

This is really sad. I like Opera a lot, have paid them for a browser in the past and continue to use it to this day. That I found, installed and bought this suggests that my consumer choice was not as deleteriously affected as they make out.  I also use Firefox , oops strike two and  Safari on the Mac,  Oh NOES   Strike three for the idea that MS Hegemony exists in the desktop.

Firstly consumer freedom is a codeword for  "people won't use my  tool" let's  ask our friends with the guns ( hidden at this stage) to make the web safer place for all of Opera's clients. I'm really interested to see what actual damages to  the euro kid's fragile wittle minds has occurred from this dastardly scheme of Microsoft's.

There's some good supporting arguments, including my comment here. which is  why I was more annoyed with this whole thing.  People fall back on the state  to protect them from the very situations created by the state, seemingly it doesn't even matter which state in this guys case since  surely they are all acting in their people' best interests , yeah I suppose that -could- happen but  don't hold your breath.

Opera files antitrust complaint with the EU
"We are filing this complaint on behalf of all consumers who are tired of having a monopolist make choices for them," said Jon von Tetzchner, CEO of Opera.

Nowhere near as tired as I am having people tell me that I'm too stupid to know what works for me yet seemingly smart enough to make money  for these looters to confiscate. What's really stupid though is putting up with those that demand that the world change around them than changing themselves around the world.
