The largest problem I've been experiencing trying to get great quality audio from within an office and home environments where it's hard to get impromptu soundproofing that  doesn't look ridiculous or out of play for the rooms normal function.   It's my fault I selected the wrong mic for the job ( large diaphragm condenser)  and  within 10 minutes of removing the PR40 from it's box, routing it through a Art Tube preamp into the  M audio box. I was for about the first time in a year happy with a desk microphone that  had sufficient quality to accurately reproduce my voice yet  reject the room noise , cpu fans and even Erin's bleep bleep thump music playing quietly in the background.  Holy grail,  not sure   but it certainly   knocks a MXL990 into the closet.
