Well so long Samsung I've resigned myself to your non return and bought a 5gb Zen Micro refurb for $49 which is  about the most I am willing to risk should I forget to put you in my pocket when standing up.  So far It's been ok   and the pain of getting it to talk to Audible was  just pathetic for anyone not into computers in the slightest.

Had to know that the firmware, hell had to know there's actually something called firmware,  was out of date, found it,   loaded it, then new drivers for Audible and the Zen and 30 mins after the plug and play miracle SHOULD have occurred it was of to the music  Now to teach it about podcasts 

So far it's a solid reassuring little lump that has in it's favor USB charging ,  5gb at 1/3rd the price of an Ipod  a decent  radio, voice recorder and for some weird reason a task manager/ calendar.
