The test machine I am using  is faster, much faster, than my day to day production box.  I've finally made it to the dual core era  and     I'm not sure if it counts since I have to share the machine   I probably have 1/4  the 2cpu's  I'm running on 1/2  a chip ...

Anyway  the  interface is certainly nicer,  some basic annoyances from XP are gone, the widgetized workflow I've been using Yourminis.com from are now on my desktop . An area I'm now plotting on how to make widgets to tie in with my programs 

The  funniest thing was the intersection between  reality tunnels when  I asked for more widgets    one of the first choices was a prayer timer. Funny
