This is why they need two year contracts...Pay to be advertised to by Verizon "Cautiously"
I've brought this up before but looks like the NYT finally caught on. The nice people at Verizon have decided that they are not being paid enough for their network and would like to have their paying users PAY THEM MORE by advertising to the phone and I am sure that they think there's a tasteful sweetspot , in reality just shy of pissing off people rather than when they no longer find them interesting. I NEVER look up anything that I don't want to see on the mobile device, tautology Tuesday
, it's painful. It's painful to the point where the compelling reason to have one is simply that it's connected in locations where there's no practical alternative ( laptops drag my belt down
) and the info I need has a real time practical need. It does not have space for advertising on an already hobbled device thanks to the phone company thinking it's now a media and advertising clearing house.
Just like every other business thinks it is.
