It's been a while since a woman's asked me that question but I digress.  On the way to work we stopped to pick up breakfast at Chik filet in Scottsdale.    Asked for large coffee. 

"what do you mean by large?"

Yep seemingly she's been hired to ask the dumb questions that Americans won't ask.
