Apple talk, nope this is not another poor attempt at networking;)

Couple of interesting items off the wire today. The first one bring's up a Hicksian ( Bill of course ) cry of anguish re Apple's need to put adverts within the Itunes store when we're listening to podcasts at the PC ( where the majority of people listen not on the beloved Ipod as the term podcasting would suggst)  Yep it's their directory, software and right to use that space as they see fit but the model seems to be heading towards selling the same old crap that was the impetus for podcasting in the first place.

On this non partisan note President Bush  ( note I didn't call him names, or use Mr) had decided-see the last state of the union address- that innovation through taxation is the key to the white heat of technology future where India and China doesn't eat our lunch.  Though we should eat theirs since Indian food is way more exiting than a burger and fries:).    What's fundamentally bankrupt here is that stealing money via force ( you can call it taxation) is being reported as  a good thing.  Here's the funny part. If giving tax breaks for research is considered a good thing , ie more investment is made since it's not been eaten up in feeding leviathon , then maybe expanding the scheme to not taking us  would lead somewhere;)  Great we get Gov funded Ipods  we likely would be on the frickin  moon by now if left to a free market..

Paging Mr Heinlein...
