A fuel and their money are easily parted

"No trips on days off, no movies, no dinners out," said one reader who wrote in to voice their frustration."

But it's all right now.. in fact it's a gas price raise a thon  as the land of credulity stares slacker jawed and possibly even "yokel'ier" than usual at the rapidly ascending prices.  Populist ( verb-noun) Bill O'reilly has decided that this is a worthy issue to demagogue given that he's as economically literate as the average viewer whose viewing of O'reilly earns that appelation .

Seemingly there's a conspiracy that can't be explained by the rise in price of crude oil.

Anyway rather than launching into the joys of the business cycle I'd rather attack the poor schlubb that's managed to extend their credit so far that a small increase in fuel radically curtails their behaviour.   Yet does it?  It's a waste of time gathering information on people's  preferred choices until they've actually made them, people. I pay $10 more a tank over last year, maybe $40-$50 a month extra while I don't enjoy it it's  led, or is that unlead , to no change in behaviour as far as our driving goes.  Grocery bills though are nuts, macadamias mostly.

They have to put their money where their mouth is.   Read the comments of some of those people eligible to vote based  on their ability to respire :)  More immedietly realize they are in control of 3000lbs of metal and a suspect reasoning process.
