While I was paying attention, to attention today,  I found myself back with an old "friend" Alan Watts   a UK born philosopher   that made his home in the US prior to  WW2 getting underway.  I've deleted  several "positioning statements" re Watts as none of them really satisfied my attempts to not pigeon hole him as akin to  Huxley, Joseph Campbell or the myriad of one trick spiritual ponies that followed them.  For me he possesses humanity and an understanding of people that doesn't come from being  a blithering crystal touting nut job.  Spare 15 minutes on one of the snippets if you get the chance.

In today's state the obvious department.  All things considered ( NPR Radio)  has a spot on the real world social joy that arises when you realise that your "friends" aren't actually reading your blog religiously.  I have one friend that is commited to ignoring all my written material so that I can harrangue her by phone yet doesn't get that new pics of the baby don't work to well by that method:)
