Contextual advertising : How much do you believe , will you bite the ad that feeds?
NIN butchered for a lousy pun.
Does it not seem obvious that contextual advertising online would be split into the camps of those that already owned a product would be exposed to more ads for that which they already own? That the incidence of this would be far higher than "untargetted" messages for those that had gone out of their way to subscribe to a feed. E.g on a news feed related to a game, mostly you see contextual adverts for purchasing said game it's inefficient and doesn't it strike anyone else as being Obvious? Seemingly not, otherwise this revelation from business week wouldn't have appeared.
