Search me TV Google ads to go.
What's google really up to? a take from a pbs pundit.
"if I'm right, Google's current business will have been nothing more than a great test-bed for what will turn out to be their real business, which will be IP-TV ads. Program choice is just the Trojan horse that will be used to sell this to viewers; the essence of the IP-TV buildout is the fully domesticated consumer."
I thought we'd advanced beyond the point of needing an explanation that programming isn't for our benefit:D
Cui bono?
Seemingly the too smart for the sitcom (unless it's British, Canadian or invariably as the case turns out bad) room audience of PBS haven't been watching their documentaries on media with due care.
So now we have a pickle, and not a podcast one, if Google were to take this route the carriers are just a tad miffed that they'd be missing out on this revenue .. why? I'm paying $50 a month for my connection from these ass clowns for pathetic upload speeds i.e the model is for the "consumer" they push 6Mbps down with a never seen 512Kbps, what you mean you need to talk to the world? Nah here shut up and listen to what we want you to see...
Is this like an airline saying, sure the ticket costs this much plus a percentage of any business deal you happen to make that we enabled?
There's a long examination of the routes such a turf fight for the infrastructure of the net may take by Doc Searls over on Linux Journal.
