What the ..-. ..- -.-. -.- What hath text wrought?
O K I missed this article that appeared on Wired's "Best tech moments of 2005". Morse code is a more efficient manner of inputting data than t9, or direct entry into a phone keypad.
As an ex ham, when I moved from the UK I never pursued a licence here in the US, that's familiar with morse it's nice to see a personal prejudice vindicated. T9 and other predictive systems on our small devices have on the whole failed to live up to their promise. Unless you promised a tortous UI suited to eight year old in which case I concede you have a point.
Morse, all I need is a finger, or two if iambic keyers are your thing, and you can party like it's 1899. Actually I long for any age where "Wut" was considered anything other than grossly ignorant.
